Code of Conduct

Achieving Business Goals Ethically is Interaqt Corporation’s (COLOTRAQ’s parent company) code of conduct.  It is both a guide to help our team resolve ethical dilemmas in an increasingly complex business environment and a public statement of our commitment to the highest standards of integrity.

A team of dedicated professionals are in the process of developing our code of conduct.  Stay tuned.

What is Corporate Citizenship?

Corporate citizenship (also known as corporate social responsibility) is the continuing commitment by a business to behave ethically and contribute to economic development while improving the quality of life of the workforce, their families, and the local community and society at large.  CC/CSR encompasses the basic values, policies, and practices of a business; the management of environmental and social issues within the value chain by business partners, from raw material production to product disposal; and the voluntary contributions made by a company to community development around the world.

Most people assume this means the company gives away money but corporate philanthropy is just one component of CC/CSR.  The Center for Corporate Citizenship identifies four core principles that define the essence of CC/CSR:  minimize harm, maximize benefit, be accountable and responsive to key stakeholders, and support strong financial results.  They believe, as we do at Interaqt/COLOTRAQ, that every company should apply them in a manner appropriate to its distinct needs.

In short, CC/CSR is about building relationships with customers, about attracting and retaining talented staff, about managing risk, and about assuring reputation, while increasing shareholder value.  To be considered effective, it must be an integrated part of day-to-day business, engage all stakeholders, and include strategies to support individual managers to make socially responsible decisions, conform to ethical behavior, obey the law, and make the world a slightly better place.  We at Interaqt/COLOTRAQ pride ourselves on our commitment to reconcile our financial and societal goals.

Volunteerism

Community outreach is much more than just financial support.  It is also providing the communities in which we do business with leadership, talent, time, energy, and other resources.

Interaqt/COLOTRAQ recognizes that volunteerism benefits the company, the staff (both personally and professionally), and the communities in which our team members are engaged.  Today, our team members spend many hours volunteering with non-profit organizations, revitalizing the neighborhoods in which they live, and reaching out to people in need.  As a company, we support our team’s current and past involvement in these organizations:

  • Columbia University Club of  Northern New Jersey - Executive Committee

  • Girl Scout Council of Greater Essex and Hudson Counties - Strategic Planning Committee

  • Junior League of Morristown

  • Women’s Fund of New Jersey - Board of Directors

  • Brooklyn District Attorney’s Domestic Violence Task Force

  • Darul Islah SAT Tutoring Program

  • Fatality Review Board

  • Mt. Sinai’s Sexual Assault and Violence Intervention Program

  • New Jersey Coalition for Battered Women – Board of Directors

  • New York Downstate Coalition for Crime Victims
